For minerals such as 3TG (short for Tantalum Ta, Tin Sn, Tungsten W, Gold Au) from conflict or high-risk areas, metallic minerals traded through smuggling, controlled by non-government armed forces or controlled by illegal military factions are all conflict minerals. Suppliers purchase materials from a list of Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI)-confirmed Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP)-certified smelters and refiners(http://www.responsiblemineralsinitiative.org/).

Supplier requirements

Suppliers are required to immediately inform and take alternative solutions if there are conflicting minerals used to supply Changzhou Galaxy Century Microelectronics Co., Ltd. products, and imply relevant rectification measures in accordance with our requirements. They can only continue to supply after the rectification is confirmed to be completed to ensure full compliance with the conflict-free requirements, and relevant product materials involving conflicting minerals are handled in accordance with the non-conforming products.

Suppliers and supply chains are required to conduct commercially reasonable annual due diligence to ensure that metals used in products supplied to Galaxy Century Microelectronics are not derived from conflict minerals, and that changes to supplier or supply chain information on conflict mineral smelters and refineries (including additions or removals) are managed as primary changes and. Suppliers, mineral processors, mining companies or source raw minerals in the supply chain are required to develop policies and management processes related to conflict minerals in accordance with the requirements of the OECD and this standard.
